Auto Registration and License Plates (Look in yellow pages under 'Tags-Vehicle')

Automobiles may be registered at any Tag Agency in the Tulsa area. The vehicle title or proof of ownership, proof of liability insurance, and current safety inspection certificate are required when registering a vehicle.

Excise tax on a used car is pro-rated according to the original purchase price and the age of the car. Excise tax on a new car must be paid within 30 days of purchase, and is figured at 3.5% of the total delivered price of the vehicle. Call 918.835.6957.

Driver's License

Original applications for an Oklahoma Driver's License must be made once permanent residency is established. License may be obtained on the Driver's License Bureau, 529 West A Street, Jenks, Okalahoma. All persons are required to pass a written and a driving examination. Call 918.299.2601
